Nancy Kenyon

Program Consultant

Nancy brings with her several years of experience working with international students, most recently as the Director of the Work and Travel division of Greenheart International, a DOS-designated J and F visa sponsor, with whom we have partnered for the last 5 years .

Prior to Greenheart, Nancy was with the Institute for the International Education of Students (IES Abroad) for over fifteen years, first as the Director of Customized Programs, and then for more than ten years as a Program Dean and as Asst VP for Academic Systems. As a Program Dean, Nancy managed programs in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and France. Previously, Nancy worked in intercultural training and consulting, in Japanese and French translation, and in grant writing and management.

Nancy holds a Master’s degree in East Asian Studies with a concentration on Japan and Japanese language from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master’s degree in Business French with a secondary concentration in Linguistics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Nancy likes to hike, walk, and bike, to shoot pool (pocket billiards), and to do crossword puzzles.

Nancy is based in the US and will be delighted to be of assistance and to work closely with Vira’s host companies to promote the U.S. exchange visitor programs.
